KALYANI POTEKAR: INDIA’S FASTEST FEMALE MOTORCYCLE RACER

What starts with curiosity ends with passion.

And what starts with a passion ends with a goal.

This is the story of a woman biker who did everything in a country that didn’t have the means to help her.

And yet, in just a few years, Kalyani Potekar has become the fastest female motorcycle racer in India.

Her adventure began with her father by her side who taught him the passion for motorcycles.

For many years, driven by her boundless curiosity, she tried many aspects of motorcycling such as off-riding, mountain riding, etc.

But the motorcycle bug spread even more in her mind when she discovered the pleasure of speed with motorcycle racing.

The more the feeling of speed rose in her veins, the more she wanted to be like MotoGP icons like Marc Marquez.

So what do you do when you’re driven by motorcycle fire and purpose?

You ride more obviously.

And Kalyani was no exception to this rule.

She looked at all the information she could find on the internet to get one step closer to her ultimate goal.

She created her own workouts, found a place in India to train with her motorcycle, found the right women’s gear and competed in the championships…all by herself!

Time after time, she learned from her falls and successes that she could be the fastest Indian motorcycle rider she wanted to be.

And at the age of 27, the 5 feet tall woman racer won the title with a record lap of 2.05 minutes at the Buddh International Circuit in NCR.

By achieving her dreams and continuing to pursue bigger ones, Kalyani shows us that you can reach your biggest goals even when things seem impossible.

It’s never a story of size, skills or origins… It’s always a story of mindset.

It’s time to show how far you can go to pursue your dreams!
